Chapter 49

Unexpected happy end?

Ursula and Matt go to the preserve.
And at the end of that chapter, and that book, too, they kiss eachohter.

Isn't that great? :P

I didn't like reading that book because I think it wasn't written for people my age.

I propose it to younger people (12-14).

Chapter 48

Matt old friends, and some other people invite him to some partys but they don't want Ursula to come with him because she just doesn't fit in.
But Matt doesn't want to go there without Ursula.
He prefers being alone with Ursula and going somewhere else with her.

I think Matt doesn't want his old life back and that's the reason for him not going there.
I like reading that chapter a bit because Matt stays with Ursula.

Chapter 47

It's april now.
Ursula get's a new haircut that everyone likes.
So she changed her "outside", too.
She is a whole new human.
Besides Matt revises his play "Willial Wilson: A Case of Mistaken Identity" and submits it for the Soring Arts Festival.

I didn't like reading that chapter because it is UNREALISTITC!

Chapter 46

The Brewer story is on TV and besides the Donaghys announced through their attorney that they were dropping their controversial lawsuit in its entirety.

I didn't like reading that chapter because I hate such "happy endings".

Chapter 45

Something unexpected happens.
The firealarm gets on at Rocky River High because of an anonymous caller...

And of course everybody thinks that Matt is the reason for it.
He get's driven home by some cops, but only because they want to protect him.
So he is NOT ARRESTED again.
At the end of that chapter they find out, that it was Reverend Brewer who had called the Rocky River High.

I didn't like reading that chapter, because it's almost as unrealistic as the chapter before.

Chapter 44

Ursula is back at her basketballteam.
Matt, Ursula's mother and sister are at a game and Ursula is very happy about that.
Matt get's known her mother and her sister and they like eachother.
Everything seems to be perfect.

Besides Ursula is scared of the words "I love you", but I think in real she is scared of her own loving someone that much.

I liked reading that chapter, but it's a bit unrealistaic.
Everything is such perfect.

Chapter 43

By four forty p.m. Pumkin was back home.
Everybody is happy.

Before going to bed Matt send an e-mail to Ursula in which he thanks her for helping.

I didn't like reading that chapter because I think that it's a bit unrealistic that they got Pumkin back that fast...

Chapter 42

While driving outside Matt gets an idea.
Maybe the guys who hit him took Pumkin just to do something bad to him.
So Ursula and matt drive to the Cassity's house where Trevor lives. (One of the guys who hit him).
Trevor pretends like he even wouldn't know Pumkin, but Matt feels very certain about that and says that he wants Pumkim back until six o´clock that night.

I hope Matt is right.
I liked that chapter.

Chapter 41

Ursula wants to help finding Pumkin, so she wents to the Donaghy's house the first time.
There she gets known Matt's mother, and they really like eachother.
Besides Matt has published an advert about Pumkin. But nobody calls him.

It's like Pumkin is swallowed by the world.

I liked that chapter, because Ursula and Matt's mother like eachohter.
I hope they find Pumkin soon.

Chapter 40

Something bad, unexpecteded happens in that chapter.
Somebody kidnapped Punkin!
Anybody who knows the Donagys could have done it.
Matt totally freaks out.

At the end of that chapter Matt gets a mysterious call.
He can hear Punkin.

I liked reading that chapter.
I haven't expected something like that and I really want to read on.
I hope Matt gets Pumkin back and I hope the kidnappers, who ever it is, haven't done anything bad to the dog.
I think I would freak out, too.

Chapter 39

Chapter 39 is another hook that schould make the reader read on.

"You won't believe what's happened, Ursula. What they've done to us now."
That night, Ugly Girl did cry. In rage, and pity."

I liked that chapter because I really wanted to read on.

Chapter 38

Matt gives in! :D

He creates a paper chase which Ursula has to follow at school.
He tells her that he misses her and that he feels sorry.

Everything is like nothing had happend.

I liked reading that chapter because I think Matt's idea was great... and because he gave in!

Chapter 37

Ursula doesn't give in although she is very sad.
She writes an e-mail to Matt but deletes it before sending.

STUPID GIRL! CALL HIM!

By reading that chapter I got a bit aggressive because Ursula and Matt behave very stupid.
They should talk about it.

Chapter 36

Matt has to go to a psychologist because his parents think that he wants to commit suicide.
Beside the psychologist could help the Donaghy's by going to law, by saying that the whole family, especially Matt, has psychical problems since that special day.

Matt doesn't want to go to the psychologist, he wants to forget the whole suing story.
But now it's to late to change his mind.

The court day has been named.

I think Matt starts realizing that Ursula is right.
Maybe he gets even more depressed by going to a psychologist.

Chapter 35

Matt misses Ursula a lot.
But he is as stubborned as Ursula is.
He won't give in, too, and to criticise his parents is the worst thing to Matt.

He hates her for criticises his parents.

I didn't like reading that chapter because I don't want their friendship to break up.
I hope SOMEONE will give in!.

Chapter 34

Ursula is waiting for an e-mail or a phone call.
But nothing.
It seems like their friendship hasn't ever excisted.

But Ursula trys beeing strong.
"I didn't cry. I would not cry. I would not give in, either."

I think she is very hurted.

Chapter 33

Matt asks Ursula what she is thinking about his parents are suing Mr. Parrish.
She says that she thinks that's a mistake.
Matt can't understand her opinion and is very peeved.
It's Matt's and Ursula's first big contention and it seems like their friendship is breaking.

I liked reading that chapter, but I hope that their friendship won't break.

Chapter 32

"Can you belive it! Those two."

...a new rumor is making round at Rocky River High.
Matt and Ursula take centre stage again.

The whole school is discussing about why and since when and where they're meeting and so on.

One half can't understand Matt (because Ursula is big and no normal guy would be attracted to her) and the other half can't understand Ursula (because Matt is a creep).
The only reason why the could be in a couple is that both of them are misfits.

Stacey Flynn, a old friend of Matt (and something like Matt's first girlfriend) says that going out with Ursula is like a symptom of Matt's nervous breakdown.

I liked reading that chapter.
It shows me "real" school life again.
I think Stacey Flynn is kinda jealous of Ursula.

They should leave Matt and Ursula alone. IT'S NOT THEIR BUISNESS!

Chapter 31

Ursula's mom finds out, that she has a friend. A friend who is a boy. The boy who wanted to blow up school... and maybe they are in couple!
She doesn't want Ursula having contact with that guy, but Ursula doesn't care about what her mother is saying.

Ursula feels the "fiery red" mood several times in that chapter.
On the one hand it's an expression for her love, on the other hand it still stands for her aggressions.

It seems like she is splittet (her personality is splittet) because she actually changed a lot and is nice to Matt... but she isn't able to be nice to her mom for example.

I didn't like reading that chapter because it was a bit too long.
Besides I can't understand Ursula.
She should be proud of having a friend like Matt and I think she should explain it to her mom.

Chapter 30

"Like we'd already known each other. In biology there is always a purpose to things. 1 individual in 1 million."
I think this sentence describes everything. :D

Ursula IS fallen in love with Matt!!!

Apart from that they notice, that they have a lot in common, and Ursula gets known Pumkin.
It's like they are intended for eachother.

I liked that chapter, because Ursula is changing.

Chapter 29

Matt and Ursula write e-mails to eachother.
Ursula starts opening herself for Matt.
Before Ursula goes to bed that day, they decide to meet at the preserve on saturday.
So, their first "Date" is planned. :D

Later that night, it's almost 4 am, Matt writes another, very long e-mail to Ursula.
He tells her alot about his feelings and his thoughts.
He really trusts Ursula.

I liked reading that chapter, because I hope their realationship will grow.
...and because Matt had finally send his thoughts and feelings :D

Chapter 28

This chapter shows Matt feelings for Ursula.
I think he falls in love with her, because he knows that he feels something different when she is around.

:D

Chapter 27

Matt has an guilty conscience because he wants to kill himself.
He starts realizing that his life isn't as bad as he thought it would be.
For him the topic suicide is over.

Chapter 26

The next day Matt writes her an e-mail again and they start talking about the purpose to things.
(Like it's purpose that she found him at the top...)
But Matt deletes the last e-mail of that day.

He should have send it to her.

I liked reading that chapter, but their realtion seems still to be taut.

Chapter 25

It's march now.
This chapter is the shortest chapter in the whole book.
It's only an e-mail from Matt to Ursula.
He thanks her "for the other day".
That means he knows that she had saved him again.
But this time she saved his life.
He signs the mail with "your friend Matt".
It seems like they are offical friends now.

I liked reading that chapter, because I want to know how their friendship will go one.
But because Matt has written the mail at 5:25 am, I think he has STILL depressions.

Chapter 24

Just as Ugly Girl gets to the top of the ravine she sees Matt.
(Actually she goes there because there aren't people at all... especially NOT MATT!...)
Ugly Girl sees what Matt wants to do and starts talking to him.
She pretends like she wouldn't know that he wants to kill himself and trys to be friendly.
She persuades him to leave the top of the ravine.

This chapter is very strange.
Ugly Girl is Matt's only "friend" and the one who has been his witness and coincidentally she meets him at the top of the ravine when he trys to kill himself?!?!
Sound a bit unbelievable, doesn't it?
I didn't like reading that chapter because it's a bit too dramatic for my taste.
